Atom Zombie Smasher is a stylish 1960s strategy game. The world is being overrun with the undead - can you evacuate the citizens and make the world a safe place for humanity?
Every level of Atom Zombie Smasher has two stages. First is planning: Each city has a different plan, and you can see where you citizens are, and where the zombies are invading from. You have to set a pick-up point where a rescue helicopter will land, and position troops, artillery and more as the game goes on.
Once you've set up your resources, the Atom Zombie Smasher starts, and the zombies begin to overrun the city. At this point you can fire artillery, and detonate explosives and so on. Each level has a target of citizens to rescue, and if you reach it before the zombies eat everyone, you can move on to the next level.
As you proceed you gain new resources. While the graphics look simple to begin with, they are surprisingly animated once the game gets underway, and there are some really cool effects. Atom Zombie Smasher is really atmospheric with a great period flavor. The action is tense, engaging, and really requires you to both plan well and time your actions nicely.
Atom Zombie Smasher is a fun and excellently made take on zombie games. Great for strategy and action fans alike.
